Nanny...
Before my mission, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a nanny to a charming little family. Now, five years later, I find myself with the same occupation to yet another amazing family. I learn so much from them. Here is a drafted post I found, written in lose prose, that I must have written using quotes from the kids from my first nanny job. I post this now to remind myself and others that the most wonderful moments with children are those when you live through their eyes, and forget about the never-ending to-do lists and commandments. Here ya go:
My word is law.
"Miranda, Miranda, Mir-aaaaaaaaaah-nda!"
"What is it," I ask whilst washing the dishes.
"Quick, tell me the truth."
"I'll try," I got nervous. This sounded like a serious question she was about to ask.

And the nine-year-old looked just as eager to hear the answer as the seven-year-old.
"If someone is invisible and they walk past another invisible somebody,
"If someone is invisible and they walk past another invisible somebody,
can the Invisibles see each other?"
"Absolutely not," I didn't even miss a beat.
"Ha! See, I tooold you so!" Toothless triumph in the face of one,

"Ha! See, I tooold you so!" Toothless triumph in the face of one,
sneering in the face of another.
Then the chase around the couch resumes. And the dishes are done.
I'll be the first to admit, it's not always peachy.
But it's worth it to hang with a bunch of adorable kids.
"Can we have a goodbye hug?"
"Of course we can. A nice big goodbye hug."
"Bigger than the rain forest?"
